ADVANCED PROGRAM: Applicants with an American GPA (equivalent) of 2.7 or higher may be eligible for the Advanced Pathways Program at UML. We will determine your eligibility based on a personal interview and academic testing with the Navitas at UMass Lowell Executive Director when you arrive.
All Engineering and Science students will be required to sit the Accuplacer Math test upon arrival, and will be placed in appropriate Math/Calculus classes. For Engineering/Science students Math and Chemistry or Physics are required.

*This school is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students. UPP is not available to students from the People’s Republic of China, for any University of Massachusetts campus where Navitas conducts these programs

Your English language entry requirements

The language of instruction at UMass Lowell is English. If you need to improve your English skills to enter the UPP, you may do this through the UPP Academic English semester. If you have achieved one of the English test results in the table below, and meet the relevant academic requirement for your country, you will be eligible for direct entry into the University Pathway Program (UPP) or Pre-Master’s Program (PMP).
